How is the treatment for prostatic calcification?

Patient's question:

Previously, during a physical examination, I was found to have prostatic calcification. Since there were no symptoms, I didn't take it seriously. However, recently I've been feeling unwell and wondering if it could be related to this prostatic calcification. Could you please ask: How is prostatic calcification treated?

Doctor's answer:

Prostatic calcification foci are hiding places for bacteria, which is one of the reasons why chronic prostatitis recurs repeatedly and is difficult to recover from. Prostatic calcification foci cannot completely disappear, and there is no need to strive for their complete disappearance. As long as they are within a certain range, they will never affect the body. After prostatitis improves, fibrosis does not require treatment. Prostatic calcification foci may be a problem related to stones, but apart from stones, other causes such as prostatic tuberculosis, recurrent prostate damage, parasite eggs, and calcification of tumors can also lead to prostatic calcification foci.
