Features: This textbook is compiled based on the achievements of previous scholars. It is not a research outcome full of theoretical innovations, but rather a selection and summary of the research findings of our peer experts in this field. The approach of this book is primarily reflected in the following aspects: First, we attempt to find a theory that can explain the foreign trade of developing countries or countries with underdeveloped market economies. Under this theoretical premise, we elaborate on the second-best choice for China's foreign trade. Moreover, we believe that as China's market economy system continues to improve, the development of China's foreign trade will approach the optimal level. Second, we aim to summarize China's foreign trade policies and institutional issues in a way that is clearly guided by legal norms, which may enable students to gain a deeper understanding of China's foreign trade system and policies. Third, we attempt to establish a textbook writing system targeting a country's foreign trade, rather than simply introducing the development of foreign trade in a specific country. Finally, we attempt to introduce relatively stable concepts in China's foreign trade, such as participants in foreign trade and trade rights, to avoid listing the process of China's foreign trade system reform as the main focus.
