Features: Regional anatomy is a fundamental discipline in clinical medicine. For the training objectives and requirements of medical students in China's five-year program in the 21st century, the writing team has fully considered the prerequisite courses such as systematic anatomy and the subsequent courses, which are various clinical disciplines (especially surgery, obstetrics and gynecology, and other clinical surgical and imaging diagnosis disciplines). They have strived to inherit the rigorous and scientific characteristics of the previous five national "Regional Anatomy" textbooks while integrating and permeating the distinctive features of regional anatomy, which emphasizes the study of the structure, layers, and adjacent relationships of each part of the normal human body. To highlight the learning method of regional anatomy, which is primarily based on cadaver dissection, we have combined theoretical descriptions with operational guidance in this textbook. Since regional anatomy is a morphological discipline, this textbook pays special attention to being richly illustrated, closely coordinated, and mutually complementary. The illustrations are preferably multicolored, using red (arteries), blue (veins), green (lymphatic vessels), and yellow (nerves) to facilitate teaching and learning for both teachers and students. In line with the requirements of cultivating modern, world-oriented, and future-oriented medical talents, this textbook also provides an English-Chinese name index of commonly used regional anatomy terms and a reference list for students. This book is divided into 8 chapters: Introduction, Head, Neck, Thorax, Abdomen, Pelvis and Perineum, Spinal Region, Upper Limb, and Lower Limb, with over 200,000 words and 244 illustrations.
