After the teacher read the second chapter of Jin Bo's The Adventures of Udu Dui titled "Where Did the Little Feet Come From?" to us, I was deeply moved. This chapter mainly tells the story of an old man who performs puppet shows arriving in a small town. During the performance, he accidentally dropped the little feet of "The One-Legged Hero" but didn't notice it. After the show, he left town with his load. The little feet jumped around in the grass and were discovered by a little girl named "Zhen'er." Zhen'er took the little feet to find his grandpa. They searched and searched, passing through one village after another, but as night fell, they still couldn't find the old man. So, Zhen'er brought the little feet home and took good care of them. Later, she sewed them onto a ugly child, giving the little feet a lively life. Zhen'er is kind. Thinking of her kindness, I couldn't help but remember the "tsunamis" that were often mentioned on TV and radio during this time. As everyone knows, on December 26, 2004, a massive tsunami struck Southeast Asia. According to statistics, so far, about 150,000 people have tragically lost their lives in this disaster. At the time when these disaster-stricken people were living in hardship, people from all over the world extended a helping hand. According to the latest UN report, more than 50 countries and international organizations have pledged donations, with the total amount committed reaching nearly $4 billion, and our country is no exception. Students who pay attention to the news may know that on the day of the disaster, our government made an emergency decision to donate 21.63 million yuan in kind. On the afternoon of February 31, our Premier Wen Jiabao also solemnly pledged to provide additional aid worth 500 million yuan to the affected countries. In addition, our ordinary citizens also spontaneously extended their helping hands. By 14:00 on January 6, 2005, the China Red Cross had received and pledged donations totaling 45 million yuan. Meanwhile, the China Charity Federation had already collected 30.09 million yuan in donations by 14:00 on January 6, 2005. Moreover, these relief materials had already begun to be shipped to the affected countries. In addition, our motherland has also specially formed an emergency medical team of 164 people, with 41 already deployed and 123 on standby. As time goes by, these beautiful stories will continue. Why is that? It's because everyone has a kind heart! Look, isn't this all the shadow of "Zhen'er"? I remember the teacher often sang a song to us called Dedication: "If everyone gives a little love, the world will become a better place." Yes, if everyone were like "Zhen'er," how beautiful and wonderful the world would be! P3-4
