Article I General Provisions
To strengthen and improve enterprise trade union work, give full play to the important role of enterprise trade unions in uniting and organizing workers, safeguarding workers' rights and interests, and promoting enterprise development, this Provisional Regulation is formulated in accordance with the Trade Union Law, the Labor Law, and the Provisional Regulations of the Chinese Trade Union Charter.
Article II The enterprise trade union is a grassroots organization of the All-China Federation of Trade Unions (ACFTU) and an important organizational and operational foundation of the trade union. It represents and safeguards the legitimate rights and interests of enterprise trade union members and workers.
Article III The enterprise trade union is guided by Deng Xiaoping Theory and the Important Thought of "Three Represents," implements the Scientific Outlook on Development, adheres to the fundamental guiding principle of relying entirely on the working class, takes the path of trade union development under socialism with Chinese characteristics, implements the work guideline of "organizing trade unions and safeguarding rights and interests effectively," and unites and mobilizes workers to contribute to the great goal of building a moderately prosperous society in all respects.
Article IV The enterprise trade union revolves around the production and operation of the enterprise, legally fulfills its basic responsibility of safeguarding the legitimate rights and interests of workers, coordinates labor relations in the enterprise, promotes the construction of harmonious enterprises, and facilitates the healthy development of the enterprise.
