Characters are a person's second face; a good handwriting often plays an immeasurable role in the study and future work of young people. Many parents hope that their children can practice calligraphy from a young age to develop standardized and beautiful penmanship, laying a solid foundation for improving students' comprehensive qualities. Therefore, mastering beautiful hard-tip calligraphy has become a common aspiration of most young people. To help primary school students cultivate good writing habits from a young age and achieve their goal of writing well, we have compiled this New Primary School Chinese Synchronous Standardized Character Workbook, which integrates multiple functions such as literacy, calligraphy practice, vocabulary building, and sentence construction, to dedicate to all primary school students.
The three comprehensive calligraphy practice methods—copying, tracing, and imitating—are essential steps for beginners to improve their calligraphy skills. Copying () involves placing a thin sheet of paper over the character workbook and tracing the shadow of the model characters. Tracing red () means directly writing over red characters with a pen, turning them into blue or black characters. Imitating () involves placing the workbook on a table, carefully observing the strokes, structure, and form of the characters, ensuring a clear understanding, and then writing on a prepared sheet of paper. These three methods should be alternated.
During the practice process, please pay attention to the following points:
1. Practice for 30 minutes or more every day, and try not to interrupt your calligraphy practice. Before starting, carefully read and understand the instructions.
2. Practice one page per day. First, copy the characters, then trace the red characters, and if time permits, imitate them. Do not rush to complete the task.
3. Each stroke of a character should be completed in one go, without repeated tracing. This requires us to accurately observe the strokes and structure of each character, ensuring a clear understanding before writing, so that we can write accurately and effectively.
Wishing all the children the best in writing beautiful penmanship.
