Features: The New Concept English series, written by the renowned foreign language educator L.G. Alexander, became wildly popular across China in the 1970s, sparking a craze for the series and once serving as an English textbook in many universities. It had a profound impact on English teaching in China, shaping generations of readers into outstanding English talents. In China, several publishers purchased the rights to this series, further processing or even adapting it, expanding its influence even more. In recent years, English teaching in China has made significant progress, with the English proficiency of young people far exceeding that of previous decades. Today, children and teenagers have begun studying and memorizing the exquisite texts of this series, especially those in Book 2 and Book 3, with such fluency and confidence. The series has now become an important supplementary textbook for primary and secondary schools, a key resource for private tutoring schools, and an essential workbook for parents seeking systematic guidance for their children. To enhance the appeal of the series, we have begun to supplement it. We have developed two companion series: "One Lesson, One Practice" and "Synchronized Tests." Each series consists of four volumes, corresponding to the original books. These exercises progress from easy to difficult, are diverse in format, and cater to the cognitive psychology and learning levels of learners at different stages. The practice forms in this supplementary material are those favored by young people, including filling in letters, multiple-choice fill-in-the-blanks, cloze tests, reading comprehension, and translation. The types of exercises vary depending on the reader's age. We hope this supplementary material will contribute to the further popularization of New Concept English and help fuel the enthusiasm of young people for learning English.
