How to alleviate prostatic calcification

Patient's question:

During the routine physical examination at my workplace, it was found that I have prostatic calcification. However, I haven't felt any discomfort in my daily life. Since there is an issue, I still hope to get it treated. Could you please tell me: How can prostatic calcification be treated?

Doctor's answer:

Prostatic calcification cannot be cured. There is no effective treatment for prostatic calcification in clinical diagnosis and treatment. Prostatic calcification is a scar left behind after the prostate undergoes inflammation and fibrosis again, and it is a precursor to prostatic stones. Due to the unique structure of the prostate, the recurrence of fibrosis and stones generally has no better treatment methods. If the patient's symptoms are severe, surgical treatment may need to be considered, and postoperative recurrence may still occur. Therefore, the key to treating fibrosis is to treat prostatic inflammation. However, for already formed fibrosis, there are no treatment measures in clinical diagnosis! Prostatic calcification is prone to recurrence, requiring long-term medication maintenance.
