Is it ADHD if you can't control your attention and are easily distracted?

Patient's question:

Basic Information: Male, 8 years old
Disease/Symptoms: Hyperactive and unable to control himself
Description of Condition: My son is very hyperactive, never stops playing, cannot concentrate in class,s homework, and often distracts other classmates. He knows it's not right, but sometimes he just can't control himself. Is this situation considered ADHD?

Doctor's answer:

Sometimes your child cannot control himself and has some symptoms of ADHD. It cannot be ruled out that his personality is somewhat extroverted. You can set up a scheduled timetable for him, and you must complete the timetable according to this schedule. You can regularly arrange his schedule, asking him to complete a task within a fixed time, and then use spare time to buy some books he likes, cultivate the habit of reading, and learn and train his attention and focus with modesty.
