Features: This "Lessing Commentary Collection" aims to expand the scope of Chinese translations of Lessing's works. Although we can still only focus on compiling and annotating parts of his works that have not yet been translated into Chinese, this book selects a portion of his nearly a thousand pages of theological articles, which basically reflects the basic structure of Lessing's theological writings. Reading these articles, it is especially important to carefully grasp Lessing's views on the relationship between theology and philosophy. In today's pluralistic religious society and intellectual context, academia increasingly values Lessing's theological thoughts on his observations and foresights for the civil society (modern democratic society). Lessing is no later than Rousseau in this regard, and his profound insights into the enlightenment issue entangled in 20th-century political philosophy-theology also surpass Rousseau. Lessing's theological writings are not only highly instructive for the study of the history of theological thought but also exquisite literary works that transcend the Enlightenment era.
