Author Bio: Zhong Haifan was born in Guangdong in 1957 and holds a master's degree in modern literature from South China Normal University. He has published a collection of literary and cultural critiques titled The Sky of Humanities. Currently employed at the Shenzhen Municipal Propaganda Department, he has long been concerned with the development and reform of domestic and international news media. From February 2001 to February 2002, he studied and worked in the United States as a visiting scholar at New York City University, researching the current state, macro-management, and market operations of the U.S. New York media and television industry.
