Is cerebral palsy in children a part of pediatric neurology?

Patient's question:

My baby is just 4 months old, and now his hands are still often clenched into fists. Also, his reaction is much slower than that of other children's. A friend of mine suggested that I take him to the hospital for a check-up to see if he has cerebral palsy. But I don't know which department to make an appointment with. Doctor, is pediatric cerebral palsy part of pediatric neurology?

Doctor's answer:

If the child is young, and cerebral palsy falls under the category of neurological diseases, it is recommended that the patient seek medical treatment as early as possible. However, China currently has no effective methods for treating cerebral palsy, and most of them are considered ineffective for the disease. Effective rehabilitation training should be conducted to see if the development of the child's central nervous system can be the same as that of normal children. Simple oral medications are ineffective, and most children cannot be treated.
