Features: When this book was first published, China had not yet joined the WTO. In the past year, in order to fulfill its commitments under the WTO, China has comprehensively revised laws and regulations in the fields of economic law and commercial law, with dozens of changes affecting the content of this book. Taking this opportunity for a new printing, in addition to correcting certain printing errors, the author has strived to incorporate the latest achievements in legislation, judicial practice, and legal theory research while as much as possible preserving the original layout. Some sections had to be rewritten. The main modifications include:
1. Chapter 3 on Company Law: Added content reflecting Japan's largest post-war commercial and company law reforms, the introduction of independent directors, the abolition of the supervisory board system, and the attempt of the latest commercial law amendment to cancel the minimum share capital limit.
2. Chapter 5 on Intellectual Property Law: Rewritten to align with the new Copyright Law, the Computer Software Protection Regulations, and the Trademark Law.
3. Chapter 8 on Insurance Law: Adjusted relevant provisions based on the new Insurance Law, with some sections on insurance industry management rewritten.
4. Chapter 9 on Bankruptcy Law: Made certain adjustments to reflect the Supreme People's Court's "Provisions on Several Issues Concerning the Trial of Enterprise Bankruptcy Cases."
5. Chapter 13 on Tax Law: Adjusted due to revisions in the Tax Collection and Administration Law and its Implementation Rules.
6. Chapter 16 on Foreign Trade: Significant changes were made, with numerous modifications in the book.
7. The final chapter on Economic Arbitration: Added notes on the new Arbitration Rules of the China International Economic and Trade Court.
8. The final chapter on Economic Justice: Adjusted due to major reforms in the court's judicial system.
