(6) Military Personnel Placement and Welfare Security Regulations
1. On May 31, 1955, the State Council adopted the "Resolution on the Placement of Demobilized and Construction Military Personnel."
2. On October 19, 1978, the State Council and the Central Military Commission promulgated the "Provisions on the Treatment of Volunteer Soldiers of the People's Liberation Army."
(7) Preferential Treatment and Pensions Regulations
1. On November 25, 1950, the State Council approved and the Ministry of Interior published the "Provisional Regulations on Preferential Treatment and Pensions for Revolutionary Disabled Soldiers" and the "Provisional Regulations on Preferential Treatment and Pensions for Militia and Civilian Injuries and Deaths."
2. On June 12, 1954, the Ministry of Interior and the Ministry of Labor issued the "Provisional Measures on the Issues of Preferential Treatment and Pensions for Civilian Injuries and Deaths in Economic Construction Projects."
(8) Employee Welfare Regulations
1. On January 11, 1957, the State Council issued the "Notice on Several Issues Concerning Employee Living Conditions."
2. On February 6, 1958, the State Council issued the "Provisional Measures on the Leave and Pay for Workers and Staff to Return Home for Family Visits."
(9) Social Relief Regulations
1. On February 28, 1956, the All-China Federation of Trade Unions issued the "Measures for Providing Financial Assistance to Employees in Difficulties."
2. On November 13, 1963, the Ministry of Interior, the Ministry of Health, and the Ministry of Finance issued the "Provisions on the Scope of Expenditure and Management Principles for Medical Relief Funds."
II. The Social Security System Gradually Moving Towards a Market Economy Era
After the Third Plenary Session of the 11th Central Committee, China entered a new historical development period, gradually shifting its economic system from a planned economy to a market economy. In line with this transformation of the economic system, the social security system also gradually evolved into one centered on social insurance, adapted to the market economy system.
(1) Comprehensive Social Security Regulations
1. On July 17, 1989, the Ministry of Labor issued the "Notice on the Names and Work Responsibilities of Social Insurance Institutions."
2. On May 8, 1993, the Ministry of Labor issued the "Trial Accounting System for Social Insurance."
3. On September 3, 1993, the Ministry of Labor issued the "Provisions on the Management of Social Insurance Statistics" and the "Statistical Reporting System for Social Insurance."
4. On October 20, 1993, the Ministry of Labor issued the "Trial Financial System for Social Insurance."
5. On July 5, 1994, the 8th Session of the 8th National People's Congress passed the "Labor Law of the People's Republic of China," with Chapter 9 titled "Social Insurance and Welfare."
6. On November 22, 1994, the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Labor issued the "Provisional Measures for Strengthening the Investment Management of Social Insurance Funds for Enterprise Employees."
7. On June 9, 1995, the Ministry of Labor issued the "Measures for Reforming Labor, Wages, and Social Insurance Systems in Pilot Enterprises with Modern Enterprise Systems."
8. On January 22, 1999, the State Council promulgated the "Provisional Regulations on the Collection of Social Insurance Fees."

(2) Old-Age Pension Regulations
1. On October 7, 1980, the State Council promulgated the "Provisional Measures on the Retirement and Rest of Cadres."
2. On October 31, 1981, the State Council and the Central Military Commission issued the "Provisional Measures on the Retirement of Military Cadres."
3. On January 4, 1982, the State Council and the Central Military Commission issued the "Provisional Measures on the Retirement and Rest of Military Cadres."
4. On April 10, 1982, the State Council promulgated several "Provisions on the Retirement and Rest of Cadres."
5. On September 12, 1983, the State Council promulgated the "Provisional Measures on Several Issues Concerning the Retirement and Rest of Senior Experts."
6. On June 26, 1991, the State Council adopted the "Decision on Reforming the Old-Age Pension System for Enterprise Employees."
