Complete Aesop's Fables III

Author: Aesop
Publisher:
Publish Date: 2003-01-01
Features: The Aesop Fables have been passed down for over two thousand years with numerous versions. Common selected editions typically include around three hundred stories. Our company previously published Cao Xueqin's Complete Translation of Aesop's Fables, which contains three hundred and fifty-eight stories. This time, it is compiled based on the collection by Reverend George F. Townsend (1814-1900), which includes the most stories currently known, totaling four hundred and five. Some titles may be the same, and the content is largely similar, but they originate from different versions, and the lessons they convey differ. They are included in this book to ensure completeness, and comparing them also adds an interesting dimension.
