Features: This book is one of the supplementary teaching reference materials for the "History of Chinese Legal System" in the 21st Century Law Series textbooks organized by the Law School of Renmin University of China. It is compiled based on the core courses of law determined by the Ministry of Education and the "Basic Requirements for Core Courses in Law of Higher Education Institutions in China." It can serve as a reference book for students majoring in law, history, sociology, and related disciplines at universities and colleges to study the history of Chinese legal system. The compilers of this book include not only teachers from Renmin University of China but also several experienced teachers from Tsinghua University, China Youth Political College, and China Women's University. The specific division of labor is as follows (in the order of chapter writing): Li Li (Law Department of China Youth Political College): Pre-Qin period ( to Chapter 3); Cui Yongdong (Tsinghua University): Qin and Han period (Chapter 4 to Chapter 5); Tian Xiaomei (Law Department of China Women's University): Three Kingdoms to Tang period (Chapter 6 to Chapter 7); Zhao Xiaogeng, Chen Yu (Law School of Renmin University of China): Song to Ming period (Chapter 8 to Chapter 9), and the Republic of China and the New Democratic Revolution period (Chapter 12 to Chapter 15); Zheng Ding, Ma Jianxing (Law School of Renmin University of China): Qing and late Qing period (Chapter 10 to Chapter 11). The entire book is edited by Professor Zheng Ding and Professor Zhao Xiaogeng of the Law School of Renmin University of China, with Chen Yu, a master of law, assisting as the chief editor in compiling and technical text processing. This book has been reviewed by Professor Zeng Xianyi of the Law School of Renmin University of China, and sincere gratitude is expressed here.
