Complete Aesop's Fables II

Author: Aesop
Publisher:
Publish Date: 2003-01-01
Features: The Aesop Fables have been passed down for over two thousand years, with numerous versions available. Common selected editions typically include around three hundred stories. Our company previously published Zhou Zuoren's Complete Translation of the Aesop Fables, which contains three hundred fifty-eight stories. This time, we have compiled it based on the collection by Reverend George F. Townsend (1814-1900), which includes the most stories currently known, numbering four hundred five. Some stories have the same titles and similar content but come from different versions, with distinct lessons they convey. They have been included in this book to ensure completeness, and comparing them can also be quite interesting.
