What are the normal standards for prostatitis examination?

Patient's question:

32-year-old male I previously had prostatitis, and in the past few years, it has been well-controlled without recurrence. The other day, I planned to go for a follow-up check-up to see if everything is still fine. I am concerned that this condition might affect my health. Could you please tell me: What are the normal standards for prostatitis tests?

Doctor's answer:

Normal adult males excrete about 0.5~2ml of prostatic fluid daily. Under the microscope, normal prostatic fluid is characterized by a large number of uniformly arranged lipid bodies, with 0 to 2 white blood cells/HPF. It also contains a very small amount of prostatic epithelial cells and urethral epithelial cells. Occasionally, amyloid bodies may be observed, more commonly in the elderly, and sperm may be seen occasionally.
Do not feel any psychological pressure and maintain a cheerful mood. During this period, pay attention to getting plenty of rest, and maintain a light diet, avoiding greasy and spicy foods. This will be beneficial for both you and your fetus.
