Features: The turbulent 20th century is about to become history, and a new century is approaching. As Comrade Jiang Zemin said in the report of the 15th National Congress, the 20th century was "a century of earth-shaking changes in China." During this century, the Chinese people have experienced three historic changes on their path forward. The first was the Xinhai Revolution, which overthrew the feudal monarchy that ruled China for thousands of years. The second was the founding of the People's Republic of China, which overthrew the three mountains of imperialism, feudalism, and bureaucratic capitalism, and moved from new democracy to socialism, establishing a socialist system and achieving great accomplishments in building socialism. The third was the reform and opening-up, which successfully pioneered a new path for building socialist modernization with Chinese characteristics. These three historic transformations fundamentally changed the face of Chinese society and the spirit of the Chinese people, laying a solid foundation for the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
