Ejaculation with a partner versus self-pleasuring

Patient's question:

I have normal erections, but my intercourse time is short, only 2 to 3 minutes. I used to masturbate frequently and couldn't control my ejaculation. I don't have kidney deficiency. Could you please explain the difference between nocturnal emissions and masturbation?

Doctor's answer:

Masturbation is an abnormal way to satisfy sexual needs and also a bad habit. Occasional masturbation has no effect on the body, but frequent masturbation keeps the urinary system's tissues and organs in a state of prolonged congestion, leading to a decline in local immunity. It can cause conditions such as urethritis, prostatitis, seminal vesiculitis, nervous fatigue, decreased libido, weak erection, habitual premature ejaculation, and even affect fertility. It is recommended that you stop masturbating in a timely manner, develop good hygiene habits, maintain clean external genitalia, clean them regularly, remove accumulated dirt and bad stimuli, and avoid exposure to sexually stimulating images and sounds.
