Features: This book will teach you how to use JavaScript code to submit asynchronous requests to the server in a very short time. At the same time, you can learn how to use technologies such as dynamic HTML, XML, JSON, and DOM to solve many problems encountered during development. Let you be completely free from those tedious and clumsy website development technologies! This book will be a classic reference book guiding you to asynchronous development. As a web designer, you may often be troubled by the following situations: the user just needs to reload data from the server by moving the mouse; although the requested service is simple, the user still needs to wait a long time for the server's response. Undoubtedly, Ajax technology can help you reduce such troubles. The asynchronous technology in Ajax can make the website you design simpler while providing more responsive user interactions. We all know that the next generation of web design needs new technologies to guide it; it needs some attractive and dazzling technologies to support our design. This is what this book can provide you. Reading this book will definitely bring you a lot of fun. First, you can master in a very short time how to use JavaScript code to submit asynchronous requests to the server. At the same time, it is even more interesting to learn how to use technologies such as dynamic HTML, XML, JSON, and DOM to solve many problems encountered during development. Without a doubt, this is a classic reference book guiding you to asynchronous development. Like other "Head First" series books, this book uses many interesting visual stimuli to keep our brains thinking excitedly. After reading the chapters in this book, you will not only master the development of a simple Ajax-based application but also understand how to get a chaotic project back on track. To help readers solve problems, the author has also prepared up to 5 CDs of materials for reference. After reading the entire book, you will be surprised to find that those tedious and clumsy website development technologies have already gone with the wind, and before us is a brand new technological realm.
Author Bio: Beet is a guitarist who is still struggling to realize that you can't pay the bills if you're into acoustic fingerstyle blues and jazz, and high-end custom instruments. He's just recently discovered, to his delight, that writing books that help people become better programmers does pay the bills. He's very happy about this, as are his wife Leigh, and his young kids, Dean and Tobbie. Before Brett wandered into Head First land, he developed enterprise Java applications for Nextel Communications and Allegiance Telecommunications. When that became fairly mundane, Brett took on application servers, working on the Lutris Enhydra servlet engine and FJB container. Along the way, Brett got hooked on open-source software, and helped found several college programming tools, like Jakarta Turbine and JDOM.
