Features: To adapt to the revival and development of the textile industry after China's entry into the WTO, as well as the needs of technical and information exchange between China and foreign countries; at the same time, to meet the needs of textile professionals, students of various majors in textile and clothing colleges and universities, and others to learn and understand basic knowledge in textile, dyeing, and clothing, as well as to facilitate convenient use, we selected some common and professional terms from the "Chinese-English Textile and Dyeing Dictionary" (1985) and the "Chinese-English Textile Industry Vocabulary – Combined Edition of Main and Supplementary Volumes" (1994). Additionally, we supplemented a large number of terms related to clothing, design, production, technology, style, color, etc., from domestic and international books, periodicals, trade, and production. Some terms also include common explanations or annotations. It is published in a compact form for use by textile professionals, scientific and technical personnel, teachers and students of textile and clothing colleges and universities, translators, business and trade personnel, and other learners. The original dictionary included over 10,000 entries, and after revision, it has been expanded by approximately 65,000 terms, mainly covering words related to magnetic processes, equipment, raw materials, products, and testing in cotton, wool, silk, ramie, silk, chemical fibers, textiles, silk weaving, machine weaving, knitting, machinery, dyeing and printing, sewing, cutting, and clothing. Entries are arranged in the order of Pinyin. English spellings are combined with both British and American conventions. Some spellings and meanings are followed by ( ) or 《》, with the text in parentheses serving as annotations or supplementary explanations.
