Patient's question:
Female, 48 years old. Condition: Frequent urination, urgency, dysuria, excessive leukorrhea, lower back pain, body weakness, fatigue. Approximately 20 days.Doctor's answer:
Gonorrhea is a sexually transmitted disease, primarily characterized by symptoms such as urinary pain and purulent discharge from the urethral orifice. Early, uncomplicated gonococcal urethritis without other complications generally responds well to treatment and can be cured with active antibacterial and anti-inflammatory measures. Penicillin or Cefixime can typically be chosen for treatment. During treatment, avoid spicy and irritating foods, drink plenty of hot water, and wash clothes and utensils separately from family members. Sexual activity should be avoided during this period.
