Features: This album summarizes the achievements in the research on ultra-high voltage (UHV) AC transmission technology in 2005, systematically introduces the key research topics conducted that year. The main content includes the research content of scientific research projects, the main research conclusions obtained, as well as engineering applications. Based on the research achievements of the scientific research projects, 29 thematic papers were organized and compiled, providing a detailed discussion of the research outcomes. This book is not only available for power system technicians to comprehensively understand the accomplishments and progress in UHV AC transmission technology research, but also provides a unified foundation and data platform for the future construction of UHV AC backbone networks. Additionally, many open-ended ideas proposed in the book offer insights and directions for further research.
2005 was the year when China initiated the preliminary work for its UHV grid. In early 2005, State Grid Corporation of China launched the research on key technologies and feasibility studies for UHV transmission projects, organizing research on engineering key technologies involving research institutions with strong research capabilities, universities, design institutes, consulting firms, and equipment manufacturers. Through this album, power system technicians can fully understand the achievements currently attained in UHV AC transmission technology. Many of these achievements can serve as a unified foundation and data platform for future research, design, and construction. Moreover, the open-ended concepts proposed in the album also provide guidance and direction for subsequent research.
Relevant personnel in the power system who are interested in and support UHV transmission work; technicians, construction personnel, researchers, and consultants involved in UHV transmission engineering construction and research; faculty and students majoring in related fields in universities and colleges.
