Features: To promote the construction of "Ecological Anhui," the Anhui Provincial Association for Science and Technology decided to hold the "Ecological Anhui" Doctoral Science Forum on November 20 of this year and established the Organizing Committee and the Executive Committee composed of doctors in early August of this year. Under the leadership of the Organizing Committee, the Executive Committee is responsible for the planning, organization, and implementation of the forum's preparatory work. Organizations such as the University of Science and Technology of China, Hefei University of Technology, Anhui University, Anhui Normal University, Anhui Agricultural University, and the Huangshan Municipal People's Government have provided strong support for the forum's preparation. The forum has received enthusiastic responses from a team of talents primarily composed of doctors engaged in ecological research, who actively participated in the forum activities. Since the call for papers began in August 2004, the Executive Committee of the forum has received over 100 high-level academic papers. These paper authors include doctors conducting ecological research in Anhui, scholars actively engaged in scientific research and teaching in universities and research institutions, experts in tourism planning and management research, as well as leaders and experts from provincial and municipal environmental and forestry departments. After screening by the Executive Committee, 116 papers written around the themes of theory and practice of ecological Anhui have been compiled into this book, covering areas such as ecological economy, resources and sustainable development, ecological security, and ecological civilization. These papers address various aspects of the support system for the construction of ecological Anhui, conduct research and analysis on the current status and existing problems of ecological construction in our province from different levels, and propose suggestions and countermeasures to accelerate the construction of ecological Anhui.
