Hysterosalpingography

Patient's question:

Two years ago, there was one miscarriage. Now, trying to conceive for one and a half years without pregnancy.

Doctor's answer:

The tubal patency test is best performed 3-7 days after the menstrual period. If the test is conducted too early, the endometrium has not yet fully healed, and the gas or oil used during the test may enter the blood sinus, forming an embolism. It is also possible that the remaining menstrual blood content in the uterine cavity may be pushed into the fallopian tubes and then fall into the abdominal cavity, potentially causing infection or endometriosis.
