Features: The book is divided into two parts, totaling seventeen chapters. The first part, consisting of eight chapters, primarily analyzes the characteristics and applications of common welding methods. It includes the basic principles, welding processes, equipment selection, applicable ranges, and typical welding examples of important welding methods such as gas welding and cutting, submerged arc welding, gas metal arc welding, gas tungsten arc welding, plasma arc welding and cutting, resistance welding, etc. Additionally, it briefly introduces the formulation of welding procedures for welded structures and the applications of other welding methods such as electroslag welding, (clad welding), thermal spray, laser welding, electron beam welding, stud welding, and friction welding in engineering. The second part, consisting of nine chapters, primarily analyzes the welding of common materials. It includes topics such as the weldability of metals and its testing methods, the welding of carbon steel, low-alloy steel, stainless steel, heat-resistant steel, cast iron, and the welding of non-ferrous metals and alloys. Additionally, it briefly introduces the evaluation of welding process specifications and other welding processes such as the joining of dissimilar metals and the application of advanced materials. This book adopts the new national welding standards and can be used as a teaching material for various secondary vocational education programs in welding and related fields, as well as a training textbook for welder vocational skills. It can also serve as a reference for engineering technicians specializing in welding production.
