Features: The Essence of the I Ching Atlas categorizes and summarizes the most influential and representative diagrams in the history of I Ching studies. It particularly delves into the deep connotations and broad extensions of the Taiji, the He Tu, the Luo Shu, as well as the symbolic systems of the Eight Trigrams and the Sixty-Four Hexagrams. Additionally, it introduces the essence of fundamental theories and important schools of thought in I Ching studies in a diagrammatic manner, aiming to enable a broad readership to quickly grasp the core principles of "simplicity" and progress further into the subject. Currently, there is a trend of convergence, integration, and even "breaking new ground" between Eastern and Western philosophy and culture, which is reflected in the I Ching. Famous principles such as binary theory, complementary principles, genetic codes, and dissipative structure theory are its prelude. During the Renaissance, Western science and technology underwent a transformation through the catalytic influence of a series of major scientific and technological advancements, including the Four Great Inventions of China, ultimately surpassing China. This marked the second "breaking new ground" in Eastern and Western cultural interactions. In the 20th century, atomic physics and other developments repeatedly converged and aligned at the micro-theoretical level with Eastern macro-theories. All of these have once again led to large-scale "breaking new ground" phenomena. On one hand, Eastern giants mock this "materialistic" analytical reductionist quantitative method, while on the other, they marvel at the dynamic thinking, sudden insights, and groundbreaking achievements of Western scholars. The thinking patterns of our ancestors have become a crucial foundation for their progress, leaving the Chinese people shocked and prompting continuous reflection. In light of this, we have launched the series Essence of I Ching Thinking to facilitate the early arrival of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation!
