Features: As humanity is about to enter the 21st century, "health for all" remains a crucial task facing health work in the new century. Achieving the grand goal of "health for all" requires the collaboration and joint efforts of various medical disciplines, including traditional medicine. The World Health Organization is increasingly valuing the development of traditional medicine and has made outstanding contributions to promoting its growth. Currently, the spectrum of diseases is changing, with an increasing number of refractory diseases, the toxic side effects of chemical drugs becoming more apparent, and the growing burden of medical expenses troubling governments and people worldwide. Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) is the most complete traditional medical system within the world's traditional medicine framework. Its unique academic theories and prominent clinical efficacy better align with the needs of contemporary society and people in addressing the aforementioned challenges. Therefore, scientifically and effectively leveraging the healthcare role of TCM will become one of the characteristics of global health work in the 21st century.
