Features: SARS is a respiratory disease. Chest X-ray examination has the advantages of being rapid, intuitive, inexpensive, widely accessible, and easy to compare over time. However, its disadvantage is the difficulty in qualitative diagnosis. Nevertheless, experienced radiologists can often accurately differentiate between common pneumonia, tuberculosis, and benign or malignant lung tumors based on the X-ray results of patients. This expertise is gained through reading a large number of clinical case X-ray results. This book collects and organizes 626 chest X-ray images and other imaging data of 84 SARS patients infected by the same source, with clear contact history, who developed symptoms during the incubation period, and had relatively complete observation records. Accompanied by brief clinical data analysis, it aims to illustrate the dynamic evolution process of pulmonary lesions in patients with infectious atypical pneumonia through a visual approach, helping readers improve their understanding of the characteristic chest X-ray changes in such patients. It may also benefit clinical doctors in recognizing and differentiating infectious atypical pneumonia. Most of the imaging data in this book are bedside X-rays taken in isolation wards. A few images have poor contrast, but this does not affect observation.
