Features: The compilation of this textbook began in 1989. A draft outline was designed, widely consulted, revised, and then written by the authors according to the outline. This textbook strives to be guided by Marxism-Leninism and Mao Zedong Thought, extensively absorbing research findings from domestic and foreign works. On a comprehensive and systematic basis, it focuses on issues, integrates theory with practice, highlights key points, presents clear organization, is easy to understand, and maintains an appropriate level of detail. This is to enable students and readers to better grasp the fundamental framework, content, and principles of this course. In addition to being primarily used as a textbook for history majors in ethnic institutions of higher learning, this book is also suitable for history and politics-history majors in general universities, as well as for reference by history scholars and enthusiasts.
