Features: We edited this volume, Cultural Relics of Ethnic Groups in China's Frontier Regions, to showcase the historical and cultural landscapes created by different ethnic groups in the frontier areas across various historical periods. The purpose is to reflect that each ethnic group has made unique contributions within the development pattern of the "diverse yet integrated" Chinese civilization. It also highlights the historical process of mutual dependence, mutual absorption, and common development in terms of economy and culture among the ethnic groups. This aims to enhance national confidence and pride, strengthen ethnic unity, maintain national unity, promote patriotism, and advance the further development of socialist spiritual civilization.
Cultural Relics of Ethnic Groups in China's Frontier Regions includes approximately 1,000 types of cultural relic materials, with over 90% being ethnic minority artifacts. These artifacts hold significant historical, artistic, and aesthetic value, with many being newly unearthed in recent years.
Cultural Relics of Ethnic Groups in China's Frontier Regions is primarily illustrated with images. The textual portion consists of three parts:
1. An overview of ethnic cultural relics, which briefly introduces the historical development of the region and the characteristics of its artifacts.
2. Short essays that provide introductions to specific types or periods of ethnic cultural relics in the region, serving as a supplement to the overview.
3. Image captions that describe the names, eras, discovery locations, collecting institutions, dimensions, and values of the artifacts, serving as reference materials for readers.
