Features: Academic research is a process of cognition. Accumulating materials and analysis are indispensable steps. Only with a large amount of data can research work be established on a solid foundation. Textual criticism involves identifying and verifying materials, discarding falsehoods and preserving truth, discerning their quality and flaws. We should not overestimate the role of material work and textual criticism, but we must fully value their importance. Wen Shi primarily collects articles on ancient and modern Chinese literature, history, philosophy, linguistics, and certain aspects of the history of science and technology. Examples include:
1. Thematic research primarily focused on materials and textual criticism;
2. Collection, organization, or investigative reports on rare materials;
3. Explanations and interpretations of certain passages in ancient texts;
4. Research papers on editions, bibliographies, collation, and textual criticism;
