Features: Consciousness is always controlling our thinking ability. Our efforts in innovation are actually modifications of mental constraints. Therefore, improving consciousness is a good way to enhance or maintain creative abilities. Many years ago, when society began to need this industry, we were just a group of patched-together kids with nothing but boundless ideals. Due to the limitations of our horizons, the industry's standards at the time were very low, and there was little competition, so work was very enjoyable. As a result, many talented children were spoiled and lost their ability to progress too early. The process of advancing alongside the industry was actually a process of broadening horizons. Over the years, we changed many masters and schools, first admiring the national spirit of Taiwanese design; then getting lost in the "culture" created by Hong Kong designers. Later, our interests shifted to Japan and South Korea, and by the time we truly began to focus on Western design, both we and our clients had lost interest in "nationality" and "cultural sense." In my opinion, what people are currently concerned with is the real commercial value that design can produce, and designers' design purposes have also shifted from seeking awards to making money. I always believe this is progress—people are becoming more practical, and work will become more rigorous. Without boundless ideals, the industry can become increasingly pure. In this process, we increasingly felt the limitations of our horizons, so we asked friends to bring back materials from abroad, and the books we read gradually shifted from Chinese to Western. We wanted to use this method to obtain fresh information, and in doing so, we discovered that broadening horizons is a shortcut to improving consciousness. We have maintained the state of working and learning simultaneously until today. Over the years, our minds have filled with more and more unanswered questions. Until one day, I suddenly found myself on the streets of New York, surrounded by interesting designs and advertisements, and I felt as if I had found some answers. Excited, I quickly took photos one by one with my camera.
