Features: The success or failure in English exams hinges on vocabulary. To help candidates for professional degree entrance exams effectively overcome the vocabulary challenge and lay a solid foundation for listening, speaking, reading, writing, and translation, we have written this book, "Vocabulary Quick Memorization for the National Unified Entrance Exam for Master's Degree Programs for Working Professionals." This book has the following features:
1. It is strictly compiled according to the newly revised "National Unified Entrance Exam Syllabus for English (Japanese, Russian) for Master's Degree Programs for Working Professionals" by the State Council Academic Degrees Committee. It includes approximately 4,500 words, including about 500 common word groups and about 1,800 frequently used words and 200 common word groups that require mastery in different contexts.
2. Each entry provides synonyms, antonyms, derivatives, or words related to the meaning of the entry, on the one hand, to increase the frequency of vocabulary repetition and deepen memory, and on the other hand, to provide teachers with a way to expand association and divergent thinking for memorization.
3. Under key common entries, fixed structures and semantic collocations (idiomatic usage) are provided. Those explicitly specified by the syllabus are marked in black italics.
4. The word groups specified by the syllabus are listed separately with example sentences, accompanied by Chinese translations, to help candidates thoroughly understand and master the exact meaning and usage of each word group, as well as the differences between Chinese and English expressions, thereby achieving the goal of not only memorizing but also using them effectively.
5. The appendix provides the roots and affixes specified by the syllabus (including example words), common abbreviations, and an English-Chinese of the names of major countries, regions, their capitals (administrative centers), and main cities, as well as common word groups.
6. To facilitate candidates, we have also summarized key grammar points in the appendix and listed them concisely.
7. Considering that students are mostly working professionals with flexible study times and locations, this book adopts a small format to make it easy to carry and study anytime, anywhere.
