Features: The Ballad of the Generals is a novel that confronts the "disaster" of the 1960s. It follows the persecution of Peng Qi, the commander of a certain air force army corps, as its main storyline, and through the destinies of three generals, it praises the principle and resilience of the older generation of revolutionaries under life-and-death tests. The novel not only poetically expresses the inner grief and indignation of an upright general in a specific era but also, through its three-dimensional portrayal of characters, recreates the spiritual life of an era.
