Features: Susu's book was compiled before Chen Danyan's "Shanghai's Wind, Flowers, Snow, and Moon," telling old stories of Shanghai, all accompanied by many historical photographs. The writing and themes are unique, yet they equally reflect the author's deep affection for the city, as if it were polished and crystal clear. This book focuses on the lives of women from the middle and upper classes in old Shanghai, depicting various types of women: socialites, famous courtesans, famous mistresses, female students, female celebrities, and professional women, recreating their charming allure. It can be considered a new "Record of Flowers on the Sea."
