Features: This is a work on contemporary lacquer art expression—more precisely, it focuses on contemporary creative consciousness and proactive spirit. Given this starting point, what kind of lacquer art expression can better illustrate the issue? Of course, it is something that aligns with this consciousness, and of course, it is a direct reflection of this consciousness in the form of expressive wounds. For many years, I have been engaged in research that is entirely distinct from traditional lacquer art, and I have formed an independent lacquer art system based on "new consciousness, new materials, and new expression," where even the basic language of lacquer art is original. Such a system is not full of creativity then what else could it be? Not contemporary then what era does it belong to? This book is divided into five chapters. The first chapter is an introduction, the second is on materials, the third is on techniques, the fourth is on the specific manifestations of contemporary lacquer art, and the fifth is the final chapter. It not only summarizes the spirit of contemporary lacquer art expression in the introduction but also concludes the book with a striking large-scale work, "Auspicious Colorful Stream," which fully embodies the spirit of contemporary lacquer art expression.
