Features: The "Japan University Entrance Examination" is held twice a year in June and November, replacing the former "Unified Examination for Self-Financing International Students" administered by the Japan Association for International Education. The exam targets candidates applying to Japanese universities (including universities, junior colleges, vocational schools, etc.). It primarily assesses examinees' Japanese proficiency and basic academic abilities, divided into two tracks: Liberal Arts and Science. The Liberal Arts exam includes "Japanese," "Math 1," and "Comprehensive Subjects (Civics, Geography, History)," while the Science exam consists of four subjects: "Japanese," "Math 2," "Science (choose two from Physics, Chemistry, Biology)." The results of the "Japan University Entrance Examination" are valid for two years. To help Chinese learners of Japanese and those planning to study in Japan understand the exam's subjects, content, and format, the Foreign Language Teaching and Research Press has introduced and published the "Japan University Entrance Examination Strategy" series, including five books: "Comprehensive Subjects," "Listening and Reading Comprehension," "Reading Comprehension," "Math 1," and "Physics." These books provide highly effective assistance to examinees. This book is "Math 1." It is divided into nine chapters (Chapters 1-8), each composed of sections such as "Examples," "Explanations," "Exercises," and "Summary." It mainly explains basic formulas, theorems, and problem-solving methods, accompanied by practice questions. Chapter 9 is a comprehensive review. All exercises in this book come with answers for readers to use for self-assessment.
