The purpose of the Interpreting Comprehensive Ability exam is to assess whether candidates' listening comprehension and information processing skills meet the requirements of professional work. The exam consists of four types of questions: judgment (20 questions), short sentence choice (20 questions), passage choice (20 questions), and listening summary. Candidates must complete the entire exam by listening. In this book, we have carefully selected and compiled targeted practice questions based on the requirements of the French Interpreting Level 2 exam syllabus (trial) and the actual exam modules and question types. The language materials used in this book are mostly sourced from authoritative French publications, newspapers, magazines, and publications of international organizations. The content is authentic and the language is standardized, covering fields such as politics, economy, society, culture, sports, science and technology, and law. Through training, candidates can not only engage with various topics and gain an understanding of issues commonlyed in international society and daily life but also become familiar with exam question types, expand their vocabulary, and improve their French proficiency and listening comprehension skills. The book is divided into 16 units based on themes. Each unit consists of four parts. Part 1 is the judgment section, with 20 sentences. Each sentence is only heard once, and candidates must make a true or false judgment after listening to each recording. Part 2 is the short sentence choice section, with 20 short passages. Each passage is also only heard once, and candidates must select the correct answer after listening to each recording. Part 3 consists of slightly longer passages, divided into 5 paragraphs. Each paragraph is accompanied by 4 multiple-choice questions, and this section is also only heard once. Part 4 is the listening summary section, where candidates listen to a short passage recording of about 3 minutes and then write a summary in French. The 16 lessons in this book can serve as real simulation tests. Through listening, learning, writing, and practice, candidates can expand their vocabulary and knowledge, improve their overall listening comprehension and written expression skills, and prepare thoroughly for the exam.
