Author: Compiled by the Editorial Committee of this Book / Country:

Publishing Date: 2002-08-01
Features: This book includes dozens of Chinese-language micro-fiction from 2000 and 2001. Examples include Fan Fu's "Awakening the Hero," Wei Ping's "Seeking Alms," Wang Meng's "Fishy Deception," Zhang Kankang's "Gas Leak," and more. The works collected in this book are rich in content, concise in writing, short in length, and highly readable, leaving readers with a sense of wanting more. This is a biennial selection, meaning all the works were published in Chinese-language media both in China and abroad during these two years. The definition of micro-fiction word count has not yet been universally agreed upon. While some selected works exceed 1,500 words, we still believe that the ideal word count for micro-fiction should not exceed 1,500 words. Of course, word count is not the only criterion for evaluating a micro-fiction. Its conception, content, and other qualities must also be considered.
