Features: In recent years, the development of regional economic cooperation in the APEC region has stagnated anded. Research on APEC in academia has also entered a low ebb. During this period of difficulties in APEC's development, it is even more necessary to conduct in-depth research on its cooperation model, existing problems, and development prospects. This book explores the direction of deepening regional economic cooperation in the APEC region and re-examines China's policy choices in participating in APEC economic cooperation. Using a research method that combines Marxist historical and specific analysis, the book systematically analyzes issues such as the regional economic cooperation model of APEC, the challenges it faces, its development prospects, and China's countermeasures in participating in APEC regional economic cooperation. APEC is one of China's earliest economic cooperation organizations and also an important stage for China to open its market, gradually integrate with the global economy, and move toward internationalization before joining the WTO. Before joining the WTO, Chinese society attached great importance to participating in APEC regional economic cooperation. While the significance of China's participation in APEC regional economic cooperation has weakened after joining the WTO, I believe that China still needs to adjust its emphasis and actively participate in APEC regional economic cooperation.
