To strengthen the cultivation of theoretical talent in economics at Northwest University, the Department of Economics and the Institute of Economic Growth and Econometrics have organized the "Forum on Innovation in Modern Economic Theory and Methods." This forum was established by several teachers, including Ren Baoping and An Liren, who drew inspiration from the renowned "Smith Forum" at Nanjing University School of Business. Professor Baoping, the head of the Department of Economics, conducted two years of postdoctoral research under the famous economist Professor Hong Yinxing at Nanjing University. He drew on the practices of the "Smith Forum" and, based on the foundation of Northwest University's economics talent cultivation base, initiated the "Forum on Innovation in Modern Economic Theory and Methods" with young teachers such as An Liren, Fan Wangbang, and Gao Yu. The forum meets every two weeks and has now been held for one year, with a total of 16 sessions. This book is a collection of working papers from the forum.
