This chapter organizes and elaborates on the main content of Marx's labor theory of value; analyzes the development and innovation of Marx's labor theory of value from the perspective of comparing it with classical political economy; and focuses on answering why Marx's labor theory of value needs to keep pace with the times and its methodology.
Chapter 2: Analyzing the new challenges faced by Marxist's labor theory of value in the new era. This chapter thoroughly analyzes the challenges faced by the labor theory of value under the conditions of economic globalization and the new technological revolution; examines how to understand the labor theory of value under the changing conditions of capitalist and socialist production relations since the publication of Marx's labor theory of value; and summarizes and organizes the various responses given by Western scholars to the new challenges.
Chapter 3: Deepening the understanding of labor and the labor theory of value in socialist society. First, it explores the theoretical and practical background of the new round of debates on the labor theory of value that arose in China at the turn of the century; summarizes the main viewpoints of China's theoretical circles on labor and the labor theory of value; proposes what Marx's labor theory of value should adhere to and develop under the given conditions of socialist society; and, by comparing it with traditional labor, summarizes the new characteristics of contemporary labor.
Chapter 4: Discussing the impact of advanced productive forces on the creation of value and use value from the perspective of combining the basic principles of Marxism with the primary stage tasks of socialist society, and from the height of practicing the "Three Represents." This chapter elaborates on the development of productive forces as a key task of socialism; defines the connotation of "advanced productive forces" that the Communist Party must "always represent the development requirements of advanced productive forces"; and further analyzes the impact of material elements in productive forces on value and use value.
Chapter 5: Further exploring the need to integrate production relations based on the requirements of the "Three Represents," with production as the criterion.
Chapter 6: Continuing from the requirements of the "Three Represents," combined with the actual conditions of China's reform and opening-up, proposing to take contemporary Marxism as the guide, persist in not relaxing the development of productive forces, and summarizing the book.
