The style of Wang Zhenzhong's landscape and flower-and-bird paintings is robust, rustic, and clear in conception. His large-scale flower-and-bird paintings inherit the legacy of Master Li Kuchan, with bold brushwork and vibrant ink. As a painter, Wang Zhenzhong graduated from the Chinese Painting Department of the Central Academy of Fine Arts in 1963 and came to work in Guizhou. He has dedicated over forty years of his life to this land, nurturing countless talents in art education. In return, Guizhou has been equally generous to him: the beautiful and magical landscapes of the Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau have nurtured the painter, providing him with unparalleled natural inspiration, filling his mind with scenes and his brush with endless charm. In the past decade, Wang Zhenzhong's landscape paintings have evolved with the times, becoming increasingly refined, and his reputation has spread far and wide. Though humble and unassuming, he has gained fame worldwide, a testament to his deep artistic foundation, rich life experiences, and unwavering diligence.
This book is part of the "China Gallery Promoted Artists' Masterpieces" series, featuring Wang Zhenzhong's dedicated works and recommendations from art critics. It is believed to serve as a guide for readers to understand Chinese painting.
