The first volume includes chapters on organic structure theory and reaction equations, alkanes and cycloalkanes, stereochemistry, mass spectrometry, alkenes, ultraviolet-visible absorption spectra and infrared absorption spectra, alkynes, nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy, aromatic compounds and aromaticity, the reactions of benzene, heterocyclic compounds, halogenated hydrocarbons, alcohols and phenols, etc. The second volume includes chapters on ethers and epoxides, aldehydes and ketones, carboxylic acids, carboxylic acid derivatives, nitrogen-containing compounds, pericyclic reactions, sugars, amino acids, peptides, and proteins, nucleic acids, lipids, metabolic organic chemistry, and organic synthesis design, etc. Each chapter is accompanied by exercises. References related to reactions are provided in the Organic Reactions and Organic Synthesis series. The book also includes a subject index, an index of Western (Chinese) names, Western symbols and abbreviations, as well as an index of characteristic absorption peaks in the 1H NMR and 13C NMR spectra of organic compounds. This book can serve as a textbook or teaching reference for students in applied chemistry, chemistry, and related fields studying fundamental organic chemistry, and can also be used as a reference for relevant researchers.
