Compared to other programs, "Journey of Discovery" has very distinct characteristics. Its appeal lies in emphasizing a storytelling approach. It starts with a story, then explores the connections between events, and finally reveals the scientific key to solving the mystery. Here, knowledge is set in the background, with stories driving the knowledge and integrating science into the plot to achieve the goal of education through entertainment. This entertainment-oriented creative approach is not our invention, but in the context of domestic science programs, we were indeed pioneers.
Second, there is the media value of the program. A good program, one with artistic value, must necessarily fulfill the role of education and publicity. Education and publicity can take various forms—whether it’s loud calls to action or straightforward expression, or a calm and objective dissemination of the scientific spirit. We chose the latter.
Third, there is the social value. At this level, more emphasis is placed on cognitive value. Science itself is a clearly defined attitude—seeking truth, being pragmatic, and being realistic. It gradually permeates the audience with the spirit and attitude of science, naturally leading to the of social value. And I believe this is precisely what is currently missing in our national spirit.
