Features: Huang Zhu (1925–1997) was originally surnamed Liang and named Gan Tang, styled Ying Zhai. He was from Li County, Hebei Province. From a young age, he had a deep love for painting. He walked eight hundred miles through the Qin River Valley and immersed himself in Henan's flood-affected areas, creating numerous sketches. In 1944, he became a student of Zhao Wangyun. From 1950 to 1954, he served as a lecturer at the Art Department of Northwest Normal University, later becoming a creator at the General Political Department.
