Features: This book is one of the achievements of the Guangdong Province New Century Education Reform Project. It mainly includes six aspects: Theoretical Mechanics, Mechanics of Materials, Fluid Mechanics, Engineering Thermodynamics, Heat Transfer, and Material Processing. Part I is on Theoretical Mechanics, covering topics such as statics of rigid bodies, kinematics, and mechanical vibrations. Part II is on Mechanics of Materials, focusing on the stress and deformation characteristics of materials under various basic deformation modes, as well as strength and stiffness calculations. Part III is on Fluid Mechanics, introducing the main physical properties of fluids, fluid statics, kinematics, and the fundamental theories and applications of fluid dynamics. Part IV is on Engineering Thermodynamics, which discusses the basic theories of thermodynamics and the properties of common working fluids, emphasizing some applications of thermodynamic theories in engineering. Part V is on Heat Transfer, covering the basic laws and characteristics of three heat transfer methods, as well as the fundamental approaches and methods for enhancing or weakening heat transfer. Part VI is on Material Processing, briefly introducing the theory of plastic deformation of metallic materials, cold and hot working processes, and surface strengthening techniques. This book can serve as a textbook for the "Fundamentals of Marine Engineering" course in higher vocational and technical colleges for marine engineering majors, as well as for other engineering mechanics and basic thermodynamics courses in higher vocational and technical colleges for electromechanical majors, and can also be used as a reference for relevant engineering technicians.
