The Civil Code of Taiwan was enacted in 1929 on the mainland of China, based on the German Civil Code while also incorporating legislative examples from Switzerland and Japan. Since 1946, it has been applied in Taiwan and has now been in use for over half a century, providing an efficient and stable private legal order for socio-economic development. My works aim to analyze and discuss the social changes in the Civil Code, as well as the interactive relationship between theory and practice. The focus is on applying legal methods to conduct in-depth research on specific cases, interpreting and applying the Civil Code, synthesizing doctrines and case law, and attempting to construct the fundamental concepts, theoretical systems, and guiding principles of the Civil Code with rigorous arguments and reasoning.
